Eurosport supports the initiative of the Council of the European Union for a green and sustainable pact for sport

After the success of the ministerial conference held on February 7 and 8 on the theme “Sport and Sustainable Development Goals in childhood: the societal challenges of an adapted sports practice”, the Ministry of Sports, within the framework of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, is once again associated with Eurosport for the next conference to be held at the European Parliament on 3 March.

Furthermore, as sport is a vehicle for civic emancipation, education and solidarity, it harbors a strong potential for commitment and behavioral change.

This ministerial conference will therefore address the reciprocal links between sport and sustainable development issues: reduction of emissions linked to individual or collective transport, reduction of waste, preservation of natural environments, respect for seasonality, evolution towards more sober practices, and education in sustainable development. Goals.
